wireless router I bought my first laptop in October 2007, and I don’t know how I lived without it. As a freelance writer my computer is the life of my business. I have a home office, but I share it with my husband. There are times when we both need to work and this presents a little challenge. I like to work in silence, and I don’t like people looking over my shoulders. He, on the other hand, can work and talk at the same time. Now that I have my laptop and wireless router, I can work from any room in the house.

Since buying my new computer and wireless router, I’ve neglected my desktop computer. In fact, I’ve neglected the home office. I still use the room to fax, copy, or print documents. But I complete the bulk of my assignments in other areas of the house – bedroom, living room, dining room, back patio, etc.) I’ve even packed up my supplies and headed to the library or local coffee shop. Having wireless capabilities makes work more enjoyable. Because of my wireless router, I’m no longer tied down to a desk and one location.
