One of the biggest trends emerging in the world of consumer electronics is the trend towards wireless electronics. It appears that people are finally fed up with ugly wires running across, through and around their homes and are increasingly opting for wireless speakers, wireless headphones, a wireless router, and any other wireless gadget you can shake a stick at. This was only underscored at the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. An article this week at the Pantagraph.com website showed just how far the trend toward wireless technology is going, "The three major new game systems -- Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation III -- come with cordless controllers. (There still are cords from the console to the wall and the console to the TV). Some games, like Guitar Hero, allow cordless controller connection with older systems. Among newer twists: TN Games has a game vest that, used with compatible games, delivers a tapping sensation to your torso when your game character gets shot or punched." So those wireless speakers, those Verizon wireless phones, your wireless router; they're probably only the beginning.
