Going wireless in your home is an excellent way to get rid of all those wires that connect your computer to the Internet. Being able to work online in any room in the house is so convenient, so if you are one of those who likes to lay on the couch and answer your email or watch TV online, consider wireless broadband. We just made the switch to wireless broadband, and it is so nice to work anywhere. Getting away from the cords is a major housecleaning advantage, as well, because all those cables make vacuuming and sweeping a nightmare. Going wireless isn't terribly difficult. It just means putting a wireless card in computers that don't have them, and getting a wireless router.
Taking the laptop out on the patio is really nice on cool spring mornings, and opening email and responding while listening to the birds sing and the sun come up higher in the sky is one big advantage of having wireless broadband. Plus, we can take our laptops on the road, and actually get some work done while driving, which is a big time saver. |
